jkspoff Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 The new IE7 is now available to download and upgrade from IE6, its no longer Beta trial either. I've just installed it and theres quite a few nice new features. Heres the link if you decide to download it. The transition is smooth, imports all your old stuff into the new version. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx or have a tour of the new features here: http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windows/ie/ie7...re/default.mspx Quote

Guest BagPuss Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 very nice,,,,,,,like the tab idea at the top,,,,,took a will to get used to it,,,,,,,,, :D Been using it for the last couple of months and very impressed with it. Very similar to how Opera & Firefox works. About time though! Quote
jkspoff Posted October 20, 2006 Author Report Posted October 20, 2006 Yes, now its out of Beta format and the bugs have been smoothed out its a fine browser. About time the most used browser in the world got a facelift, afterall its taken quite some years, but they've finally done it. Now looking forward to Vista OS next. :D Quote
Smilge Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Hey jk .... I tried the Beta a few months back ... a complete mess! I couldn't do anything with it. I'll try the latest version then and hopefully no bugs this time. Quote
NikpV Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 looks ok so far - like the tabs - reminds me of opera which I use on my pda Quote
seatkid Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 IE7 requires you install WGA. Since my Sony Vaio magically turned into a "pirate" after a year working OK, and the best part of a day getting Microsoft support to fix it with no apology, I now refuse to install WGA. Tried Opera, but it only worked on admin account and not on user accounts. So IMO security sux. Firefox is fine for me..... Quote
Guest HairyPlateEater Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 Looks like Glen needs to adress some design issues with the top of the forum when using IE7 though... Quote

markmck Posted October 25, 2006 Report Posted October 25, 2006 my vote still goes to firefox - always wary of microsoft new releases as they are usually followed by a lot of security fixes. Quote
